Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo says they can use their vast experience of the UEFA Champions League to advance beyond Paris Saint-Germain.

After successive Champions League triumphs under manager Zinedine Zidane, Los Blancos were drawn with Unai Emery's side in the last-16, due to finishing second behind Tottenham in Group H.

In Les Parisiens they have an opposition who scored 25 goals in six Group B fixtures, with Neymar, Edison Cavani and Kylian Mbappe showing early promise as an elite attacking trio within European football.

PSG have also impressed on the domestic scene and hold a 12 point lead at the summit of the Ligue 1 table, while Real trail Barcelona by an astounding 17 points in LaLiga.

"We are going against a great team with excellent players, but we have shown that Real Madrid are a strong group with lots of experience," Ronaldo told Goal ahead of the first-leg tie at the Santiago Bernabéu.

"We have to be very focused and play two fantastic matches to progress in the Champions League, we respect PSG very much but we are very united."
