South African midfielder Phakamani Mahlambi has his tail up following his recent performances at club side Al Ahly.
Mahlambi has registered one goal and three assists in his previous two matches with the Red Devils, and looks as though he has found his feet in Egypt.
The 20-year-old, who completed a switch to the Egyptian Premier League from Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits last year, was linked with an exit from the club during the recent January window.
However, things have turned quickly for the Bafana Bafana international after he made his first competitive appearance last Thursday, and subsequently bagged a goal and an assist to help Al Ahly to a 3-0 victory over Arab Contractors.
Mahlambi followed that up with two more assists in Monday evening's 5-2 win over the same side, and has drawn rave reviews since.
Speaking to his club's website, 'Phaka' is delighted to be growing in confidence but insists credit must go to his teammates.
"I have to take advantage of the opportunity to get the confidence of the coach, and I hope to achieve more matches with Al Ahly," he said.
"What has made me look good is the work of the team, as a unit. Walid Azzaro, Bassem Ali and Amr Sulayy are my closest teammates and have a strong friendship with me."
