KickOff.com has been informed that Golden Arrows striker Lerato Lamola would consider leaving the club at the end of the season if he continues to struggle for game-time.
Lamola, who arrived at Abafana Bes'thende in 2016 from Bloemfontein Celtic, has only started one league game in 2018.
He was left out for the matches against SuperSport United and Chippa United. He was also not included in Arrows’ squad for the Nedbank Cup last 32 match against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, which they lost 3-0 at FNB Stadium.
"Lamola is not happy. His contract with Arrows ends this season and he will be leaving if they continue ignoring him,” a source tells KickOff.com.
“He is not happy about his lack of game-time."
Arrows head coach Clinton Larsen, who was instrumental in bringing the player to the club after previously working with him at Celtic, says he is rotating his strikers at the moment, which is why Lamola has been in and out of the team.
"No, we've been rotating the strikers,” Larsen explains.
"Lamola was in and now we've got [Thomas] Chideu.
"Chideu was on the bench in the last game. So we've been rotating the strikers and [Knox] Mutizwa has been doing well for us. So ja, it's basically just rotating."
