RB Leipzig have issued a hands-off warning to any potential suitors interested in prizing star striker Timo Werner away from the ambitious Bundesliga outfit.
After scoring 21 goals in Die Bullen's debut top-flight campaign to help them finish as runners-up to Bayern Munich, the Germany international has been closely monitored by Los Blancos and Liverpool.
And with 14 goals and four assists in 28 games across all competitions, the 21-year-old has further added to his credentials as one of Europe's most sought-after attackers.
But the club's sporting director Ralf Ragnick says the former VfB Stuttgart hitman will remain at the Red Bull Arena and they are currently in the process of negotiating a new contract extension.
"Timo definitely knows he is still playing with us now and next season," Ragnick told Kicker. "We are also in talks to adjust and extend his contract."
