New Arsenal playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he has nothing to prove to Manchester United and manager Jose Mourinho after his departure.
Mkhitaryan was used in the swap deal for United to secure the services of forward Alexis Sanchez from the Gunners in January and was often found on the periphery of the Red Devils squad.
Mourinho cited the inconsistency of the Armenia international and his lack of big-match temperament for his brief stay at Old Trafford.
"I don't want to find excuses," he told reporters ahead of the North London derby. "I don't want to blame anyone but I am happy that this [half of the] season passed already. I am starting a new chapter in my life, in my football career and I am very happy to be here.
"I don't have anything to prove to anyone. I just have to enjoy myself, do my best and at the end I will see where I can reach."
Mkhitaryan registered three assists in his first Premier League start for the Gunners in the 5-1 thrashing of Everton last week.
