I’m not going anywhere – Hunt

Posted: 11 May 2009 Time: 6:13 am

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has categorically denied that he will be taking over at Kaizer Chiefs next season.

Shortly after picking up his second Absa Premiership title, Hunt pledged his continued commitment to Matsatsantsa, saying: “I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying with SuperSport United next season.”   Hunt’s statement effectively scotches persistent rumours that he is one of the candidates earmarked to replace Muhsin Ertugral at Naturena next season.   Also linked to the vacant position as head coach at Amakhosi is former Ghana national team coach Ratomir Dujkovic, which KickOff.com first speculated about on April 13.   “I am very happy with what I have achieved at SuperSport in my second year and am already looking forward to more success at the club next season."   “Everyone involved deserves praise ... management, players and our supporters, whose voices kept encouraging us throughout the season.   “I am expecting things to be tougher for us next season, but with the same commitment and hard work from everybody I am quite confident that this team will reach even greater heights next season,” Hunt tells KickOff.com.   The former Hellenic player refused to speculate on any changes in the squad for next season, even though Andre Arendse is reported to be ready to hang up his gloves, while Elias Pelembe and Anthony Laffor continue to be linked with moves overseas.

But life is unfair. One guy coaches the whole season and DONT anything, but he keeps his job. Another coach wins R8m for his team and finishes 3rd but gets fired. My feeling is that one team is ambitious than the other. Welcome back Mjomane.Bye Bye billionaire come millionaire hehehehe

Can Someone tell me, who bewitched Pirates. look at this, Since inception of PSL. Pirates lost a legue match against chiefs during the last minute, Another against Sundowns twice and during the last game. Lost in the final in SA super, Absa cup, Telkom knockout, Vodacom challenge etc. Now it happend again against supersport. I'ts now a habit to see Pirates supporters crying on the screen of national Television. I think Pirates need divine intervention and all the bad luck will be wiped out and at least they can start collecting something.

SS united did the work from the beginning..thats all i can say. "make hay while the sun shines".
Their finishing matches were poor but they still hung in there..a good lesson for all other teams.
Well done matsantsantsa...my worry is that you are useless when it comes to playingin Africa, this si where Pirates will teach you a thing or two...
