Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon has set his sights on breaking Marks Maponyane's club record of 85 goals.
The retired Maponyane achieved the feat in a 10-year spell with Amakhosi that ended in 1991.
Moon is starting to settle at Chiefs after battling his fair share of injuries since joining the Soweto giants in July 2016 from Maritzburg United.
The 21-year-old has four goals for the Glamour Boys, having scored three times in his last four showings.
"I definitely want to win trophies with Kaizer Chiefs," Moon told his club's website when asked about his ambitions at Naturena.
"The goalsoring record at Kaizer Chiefs is in the hands of Marks Maponyane with 85. That’s something I look at to beat."
Moon, who is being mentored by Chiefs teammate Bernard Parker among others, is the younger brother of former Bafana Bafana and Panathinaikos fullback Ryan. He hopes to also move overseas in future.
"People would often introduce me as the brother of Bryce. To be honest, I was always honoured, especially because of what he has achieved.
"Bryce played for Bafana Bafana and, when with Greece club Panathinaikos, in the UEFA Champions League.
"I come from a highly competitive family and it’s my dream to walk in his footsteps."
