Jomo Cosmos’ two-goal hero Evans Gwekwerere promises that Ezenkosi will put up great fight when they return to the Absa Premiership next season.

Cosmos stormed back into the PSL yesterday at Vaal University of Technology after beating Carara Kicks 2-1 courtesy of a brace by Gwegwerere during the national play-offs second leg game.   The sides drew 0-0 in the first leg at the Charles Mopeli Stadium in Free State last week Thursday.   The Zimbabwean striker tells KickOff.com that they have to get over their ‘honeymoon’ as quickly as possibly and focus on helping Cosmos stay in top flight football next season.   “It is hard to survive in the First Division; every game is like a Cup Final. I am glad that all our hard work and determination has been rewarded by winning promotion.  Credit must go to Bra J who kept motivating us up right up to the last minute of this game against Kicks.   “After what we have experienced in the First Division, I don’t think that there is a single player in this club that wants to go and play there again.   “So, now that we are back, we will double our efforts to ensure that Ezenkosi is not relegated again,” he adds.   Talking about being dumped by Moroka Swallows last season, Gwekwerewere says, “I won’t say that I failed at Swallows because I was affected by a number of injuries.   “I left Swallows to move to FC AK but Jomo convinced me to come and join his club and I am very happy that I have repaid his faith in me by scoring the two goals yesterday. I hope there will be more goals waiting for me in the Premiership next season.”
