Craig Rosslee has expressed his satisfaction with what he achieved at Ajax Cape Town this season.
Rosslee finished his spell with the Urban Warriors yesterday with a 2-0 win away to Mamelodi Sundowns. Refusing to comment on speculation that he may now be heading for Platinum Stars, Rosslee instead opted to look back at a successful final season in charge of Ajax. “I am proud and happy of what we achieved at Ajax this season,” he says. “We won the Telkom Knockout Cup, reached the Nedbank Cup semifinals and finished in the top eight in the League, which is a remarkable achievement.
“I started the season with a lot of new players and it wasn’t easy to fill the gap between new and old players. I must also thank everyone for the hard work and support they gave me, which made my stay that much more enjoyable.” Meanwhile, Ajax defender Eduardo Ferreira has hinted that the 2008\09 season might have been his last in South Africa. The Brazilian’s contract with the club ends next year and he has already received offers from Brazil and two European countries. “I enjoyed my stay at Ajax and like the football that is played in South Africa,” he says. “Now I need to go and make more money somewhere else as I was not getting that much at Ajax Cape Town.” Ferreira leaves the country on Friday to spend the off-season holidays with his family in Brazil.
