There were big wins for Black Leopards and Highlands Park in the weekend's National First Division action.
Both Leopards and leaders Highlands registered 4-0 victories against bottom of the table Ubuntu Cape Town and Royal Eagles respectively.
Lidoda Duvha moved up to seventh place on the standings, while Highlands are eight points clear at the top with 10 matches to go. The Lions of the North have been lethal in front of goal this season and took their tally of goals for the season to 32 in 20 matches.
Jomo Cosmos are still without a win in 2018 after they were edged by Shaun Bartlett's University of Pretoria. Tuks are in sixth place on 29 points and will be determined to move up into one of the promotion play-off places by the end of the campaign.
Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) kept their hopes of winning promotion alive with a valuable 1-0 victory over relegation threatened Mthatha Bucks. TTM are in second place on the standings, eight points behind Highlands.
Witbank Spurs, who are in eighth place, secured a narrow 2-1 win over Real Kings, while Mbombela United edged Super Eagles 1-0. Spurs and Mbombela are both on 28 points.
Richards Bay and Cape Town All Stars, who are said to be selling the club to Moroka Swallows, played to a goalless draw. Stellenbosch collected maximum points away from home when they beat Uthongathi FC 1-0.
