Luis Suarez says Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final is far from wrapped up after first-leg win over Valencia

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez insists their place in the Copa del Rey final is in no way assured following Thursday's slender win over Valencia.

The Catalan giants took the advantage from the first-leg of their semi-final clash this week as Suarez headed home from Lionel Messi's cross to score the only goal of the game in the 67th minute at the Nou Camp.

The two sides will resume hostilities in the return fixture next week and Suarez knows there is still everything to play for against their La Liga rivals.

"It's a minimal advantage that we have because there are 90 minutes left," Suarez told reporters.

"Valencia at home are always stronger and even more so in a Copa semi-final."

He added: "What doesn't leave us calm is that they didn't cause us problems, this is important, it shows they respect us.

"We had chances despite the little space we had, they had chances although they didn't go in."
