Free State Stars get green light for Belgian forward Maxime Cosse

Posted: 1 February 2018 Time: 15:30

Free State Stars recruit Maxime Cosse is in line to make his debut against Baroka at Goble Park on Saturday.

Stars coach Luc Eymael confirmed his Belgian compatriot has received his work permit, having revealed last week the striker was coming on board in Bethlehem.

"We've just signed Maxime Cosse and we got already the work permit," Eymael tells

"So, we will do his medical tomorrow [today] and he will be eligible for Saturday's game. He is not yet fit 100 percent but it's okay, we will see."

Eymael, who also signed goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns last month, says he could further bolster his squad by bringing in free agents.

"For the rest no, I don't have any surprise. Perhaps again one more or two players who perhaps will decide to come and join us tomorrow or after tomorrow, but who will be already free, and ja South Africans."

Ea Lla Koto are fifth on the Premiership table with 29 points from 19 games - six points adrift of log leaders Sundowns.
