Los Angeles Galaxy refuse to comment on reports of a move for Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Los Angeles Galaxy have remained tight-lipped over reports they are close to securing a deal for Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede's future at Old Trafford remains up for debate as the forward continues to find himself on the fringes at the club, where he is already into the final six months of his contract.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho this week revealed he was unaware of reported interest in Ibrahimovic from the MLS club but insisted United would not stand in his way, should he seek a move away from Manchester.

However, Galaxy refused to be drawn into discussion over the proposed move and are yet to make any official announcement, although the deal is still expected to be pushed through before tonight's transfer deadline.
