Arsenal have confirmed the club-record signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

This deal, said to be worth £56m, is subject to the completion of regulatory processes but the Gabon international has for all intents and purposes joined the Gunners.

The north London club, who earlier this month signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United, posted on their official website: 'Welcome to Arsenal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang!

'The 28-year-old has joined us from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract for a club-record fee.

'Our second signing of the January transfer window, Auba is one of the world’s most highly-rated strikers. He scored 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga games for Dortmund and had a hand in 172 goals in 213 matches in all competitions for his former club.'

Borussia Dortmund also announced the sale of the Gabon international, who will look to make his debut at home against Everton on Saturday.
