Former Orlando Pirates midfielder training with Bidvest Wits

Posted: 29 January 2018 Time: 10:55

Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits are currently assessing former Orlando Pirates midfielder Khethokwakhe Masuku.

Masuku has surfaced at Sturrock Park with the hopes of impressing coach Gavin Hunt, after being released by Bloemfontein Celtic earlier this month.

The 32-year-old winger made just one appearance under coach Veselin Jelusic this season, coming on as a substitute in Celtic's opening league clash against Kaizer Chiefs.

With Wits in dire need of escaping the relegation scrap, Hunt has already done a considerable amount of business in the current transfer window, bringing in no less than six players while letting go of four others thus far.

Should Masuku manage to land himself a deal, he will have to compete with the likes of Sifiso Myeni, Daylon Claasen and Elias Pelembe for a place on the right flank.
