Fares Hachi in line for Chippa United debut against Maritzburg United

Chippa United coach Teboho Moloi has confirmed that left-back Fares Hachi is eligible to face Maritzburg United tonight after receiving his work permit.
The Chilli Boys recently signed Hachi from Mamelodi Sundowns on a short-term deal as a replacement for Phetso Maphanga, who joined Orlando Pirates in December last year along with Diamond Thopola.
The Algerian defender was recruited this time last year by Sundowns from ES Setif, but he didn't see much action as he was unable to unseat Bafana Bafana international Tebogo Langerman. He has only played six games in all competitions in 2017/18.
Downs coach Pitso Mosimane reluctantly released Hachi due to foreign quota issues following the acquisition of New Zealand striker Jeremy Brockie from SuperSport United and arrival of Uruguayan winger Gaston Sirino.
"Hachi's papers are ready and he'll be ready for selection to face Maritzburg United today," said Moloi, who has been deploying Paseka Mako as a makeshift left-back since Maphanga's departure.
"Having said that, I'm very happy to have acquired a good left-back after we have lost Maphanga to Pirates. So Hachi will be ready to play today.
"It' s a position we had to fill as we have been playing with a makeshift left-back because Paseka Mako is not a left-back. Things are starting to shape up now."
Moloi, however, will be without injured attackers Mark Mayambela and Katlego Mashego at Harry Gwala Stadium this evening (20h00 kick-off).
Chippa are eighth on the table with 24 points from 18 games - three points behind fifth-placed Maritzburg, and 10 shy of pace-setting Masandawana.
