South Africa-born Ethan Sandows is following in the footsteps of his older brother Tyroane after earning a move abroad.

The surname may sound familiar, with 22-year-old Tyroane having been part of the South Africa Under-23 team at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

He is currently signed with Brazilian second division side Figueirense, whom he joined from Gremio in September last year. can now confirm that his sibling Ethan has penned a deal with German sixth-tier outfit SV Rott.

The 18-year-old midfielder - along with compatriots Kaelin and Cheslin Kariem and Jesse Hendricks - impressed the club during trials towards the end of last year.

Meanwhile, a fifth South African Ansley Constance has joined Hertha Walheim, also contesting in the German sixth division.

The quintet jetted out to Europe earlier this week as they look to kick-start their careers overseas.

Joe Sandows, father to Ethan and Tyroane, recently identified some of the differences between his two sons and their style of play in the January 2018 edition of KICK OFF Magazine.

"Ethan also plays well – he was recently in Europe on trial and we're hopeful he will make it too," said Joe.

"Tyroane is a striker, attacker and dribbler and everyone compares the two of them, but we always remind him that he's his own individual and of a totally different profile – much bigger, taller and with very good defensive midfield qualities."
