Free State Stars head coach Luc Eymael has confirmed the club are bringing in 25-year-old Belgian striker Maxime Cosse from third-tier outfit Patro Eisden Maasmechelen.
Eymael expects to conclude the deal with his compatriot on Monday and has hinted at more signings before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
"We've signed a new player from Belgium today, it is Maxime Cosse," Eymael told KickOff.com on Wednesday.
"The player arrived tonight. So what's left now is just to finalise his contract. Everything is fine, just the duration of the contract and the signing-on fee. For the rest everything is okay, and we will do that on Monday when we come back from Cape Town.
"For the rest he can play centre-forward, he can play also winger. It's a player who was in the third league in Belgium, and he has already played also in the second league in Belgium. It's a player of 1.83 metres. We are trying to strengthen our squad and it's perhaps not yet finished. Perhaps we will again bring one or two players before the end of the window."
Stars, who are fourth on the Absa Premiership table, next face struggling Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium on Friday (20h00).
