'Foster's goal was no accident'

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic says it was no accident Lyle Foster opened his scoring account against Polokwane City.
The 17-year-old netted a late equaliser as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Rise and Shine at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
Micho says Foster - who has been linked with a move to France's Monaco - was rewarded for working hard at training following his return from the COSAFA Under-20 Championships in Zambia last year where he impressed.
“Foster had a honeymoon, remember when he came against Cape Town City and he assisted? Then he had an injury and in the way of coming back he went to France [for a trial] and came back,” says the Serbian.
“He was having doubts to go to COSAFA or not. We are happy that we sent him there and he represented the nation in the best possible way and played games there.
“On December 27 when we resumed training he came back strong and was working, and the goal he scored was not an accident. He was working very hard and was supported by elder players.
“He has opened his account and I don't look where he is now, I look together with my technical team where he can reach.”
The former Uganda boss says they are not putting any pressure on the recently promoted teenager to solve their scoring problems.
“When we have a player like that magnitude and you are looking at step by step, slowly to put him so that he reaches the highest level of his potential,” Micho adds.
“He's got potential and we believe that with more mileage and minutes, he will give us more and will play better and will reach where we want him to reach - to the highest possible international level.”
