Former Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars striker Camaldine Abraw is determined to add value at new club AmaZulu, and has pledged his loyalty to coach Cavin Johnson.

Abraw, who previously had spells in Egypt and Romania, has penned a six-month deal with Usuthu, who hover above the drop zone courtesy of goal difference midway through the season.

While Johnson has come under fire from some of the Durban-based outfit's fans, Abraw has faith the ex-Platinum Stars mentor can turn things around.

“I would like to thank the club for welcoming me. I will bring my best and help to achieve the club’s objectives,” Abraw told the club's website.

“As a player, I will bring my experience and will do everything for the club. I know some of the players, but the man who can help all of us is coach Cavin.

“We have to follow his instructions and play to our strengths to get the three points.

“As players, we have to adapt whether we know each other or not. The main aim is to listen to the coach and give him what he wants from us.

“If you look at the log, we have to win games and move up. That is the objective of the club and we will see where that takes us at the end of the season.

“The position right now means we have to work hard and win games for the club,” concluded the Togolese hitman, who has linked up with compatriot Sadat Ouro-Akoriko at the Premiership strugglers.

AmaZulu, who have 15 points from as many matches, next host 11th-placed SuperSport United at King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday (20h15).
