SuperSport United coach Eric Tinkler has denied there is any bad blood between himself and Jeremy Brockie, and wishes the departed striker well at his new club.
Brockie was on Wednesday unveiled as a Mamelodi Sundowns player by club president Patrice Motsepe and coach Pitso Mosimane, following his confirmed move on Monday.

Despite having another 18 months left on his contract with Matsatsantsa, Brockie was eager to switch allegiances to their Tshwane rivals, even as early as August last year, when he handed in a transfer request that was subsequently rejected.
In his final weeks leading up to his transfer to Chloorkop, it was reported that Brockie had a fall-out with Tinkler, as the club were reluctant to let go of their sought-after asset.

However, Tinkler has since poured cold water over such rumours, insisting that there was a mutual understanding of the Kiwi attacker’s situation.
“There were never any issues between him [Brockie] and I. Obviously, as a footballer, you want to play 90 minutes, but I’m the head coach, I make the decisions, whether the player likes it or not,” said Tinkler.
“He might have felt that he needed to play 90 but, at the time, I would have felt I needed to make that change [involving Brockie]. But he understood that, and we never had any issues.
“Obviously, he’s a player who has done exceptionally well for the club. Right at the beginning of the season, I spoke to him about the deal taking place in December, if we achieved our goals.
“I think, he served the club very, very well in the time that he was here, and as a club we wish him all the best now, because this is more than likely his last opportunity…
“You mustn’t forget, he’s not a youngster anymore. It’s probably his last opportunity to really cash in.”
