Tough break for Mahlasela

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the extent of midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela's knee injury following his successful surgery last week.
Mahlasela joined Chiefs from Bloemfontein Celtic, as part of a swap deal plus cash that saw defender Lorenzo Gordinho go on loan in the opposite direction, a fortnight ago.
However, in his first training session with his new teammates, the 26-year-old winger suffered a bad injury after "his knee got into a bad position after an unlucky tackle,” according to Chiefs physio David Milner.
The club have since released a statement to confirm that Mahlasela will be out of action for up to four months, suggesting he might well only make his Amakhosi debut next season.

Kabelo Mahlasela will be out of action for four months. The procedure to repair a tear in his meniscus inside the knee went well.
Mahlasela incurred the freak injury in his first training with the team.
We wish Mahlasela a speedy recovery.
