Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Camaldine Abraw will join AmaZulu, according to sources.
Abraw joined Amakhosi in 2015 from Free State Stars and spent two seasons with the Soweto giants, though he was injured for the entire 2016/17 season before he was released by the club.
His last game in the PSL was against Chippa United at FNB Stadium on May 2016 when Steve Komphela’s side lost 2-0.
The 27-year-old, who later tried his luck at Bidvest Wits, was last at Egyptian side Al Gaish.
“Abraw is here and he has signed for AmaZulu,” a source tells KickOff.com.
Abraw will join an Usuthu side that is desperate to turn things around after a difficult return to the topflight. Usuthu don’t want to go back down to the National First Division after buying their way back up to the PSL when they purchased the status of Thanda Royal Zulu.
Abraw willl be the second Togolese player at AmaZulu as the club already have on their books defender Sadat Ouro-Akoriko.
Usuthu’s media officer Brilliant Mkhathini said: “We will make a statement soon about who we are signing.”
