SA players abroad round-up

Kamohelo Mokotjo’s solid start in 2018 continued for Brentford, while Keagan Dolly made a first league appearance in four months in our weekend wrap of South Africans playing abroad.
Cele, who was recently sent out on loan from giants Benfica to Real SC where he made a name for himself last season, started a second game in succession for the struggling Portuguese second-tier side, who went down 3-0 to Leixoes. Real are firmly stuck on the bottom of the standings, six points adrift of second-from-bottom Vitoria Guimaraes.
Dolly's recent good showings in France’s two cup competitions finally paid dividends, as he featured as a second-half substitute in Montpellier’s goalless draw against giants AS Monaco – his first league appearance since September. The draw leaves his club eighth in Ligue I.

Domingo and Phete were both handed starting berths in their side’s league match-up against fellow relegation contenders Varzim, as hosts Vitoria Guimaraes recorded a much-needed 3-0 win. They are still however 19th in the Portuguese First Division, level on points with 18th-placed Sporting Braga.
Jacobs earned his eighth start for Livingston this campaign as they got the better of Brechin City 2-0 away from home, the victory taking them to joint-third in the Scottish Championship with a game in hand.
Mokotjo played the full 90 minutes as Brentford earned a 2-0 victory over Championship relegation contenders Bolton Wanderers, leaving them 11th in the standings with 40 points after 27 games played.
Mothiba, who has been linked with a move back to mother club Lille, made his 17th league start for Valenciennes, bagging an assist as his side opened the scoring in just the first minute. Yet two second-half goals, the second in stoppage time, gave visiting Chateauroux a 2-1 win, as Valenciennes drop to 12th in the French second tier.
Ntlhe was once again included in Rochdale’s line-up as they faced off against mid-table Gillingham, throwing away a 1-0 lead to go down 2-1 away from home. The loss leaves Rochdale second-from-bottom in England’s League One.
Guingamp made it seven games unbeaten across all competitions as they beat Strasbourg 2-0 in Ligue 1, as Phiri remained an unused substitute on the bench. The three points leaves his club seventh in the French top-flight with 29 point after 20 games played.
Singh made his 18th league appearance for Sporting Braga as they earned a point in a 1-1 away draw at Uniao Madeira, leaving them 18th on the log after 20 matches.
Amiens kicked off their 2018 league campaign in disappointing fashion, going down 1-0 to top-four hopefuls Nice as Zungu featured for 72 minutes of the game. The result leaves Amiens 16th on the log, just two points above the automatic relegation spot.
