Arrows back to winning ways

Golden Arrows finally returned to winning ways after they defeated SuperSport United 1-0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
The hosts looked lively in the opening 10 minutes as Knox Mutizwa and Danny Venter managed to carve out a couple chances.
Although, the first half proved to be a dull affair as neither side looked threatening as the stanza went on.
Goalkeepers Reyaad Pieterse and Nkosingiphile Gumede were barely tested in the first half as both sides were restricted to efforts from distance.
That proved to be the trend for the rest of the half as the sides went into the break goalless.
Ten minutes into the second half, Arrows nearly went ahead with a header that sailed over the bar just moments before Siphelele Magubane forced Pieterse into a save.
The visitors could have opened the scoring in the 64th minute as Thuso Phala picked out Thabo Mnyamane, who headed wide of the upright.
With 12 minutes remaining, Eric Tinkler introduced Darren Smith for Kingston Nkhatha.
However, it was Arrows who got the goal two minutes later when Kudakwashe Mahachi tapped home from close range after Pieterse had initially denied Venter.
SuperSport threw numbers forward in search of an equaliser but Arrows managed to hold on for their first win in 12 games.
