Eden Hazard open to signing new Chelsea deal, provided Thibaut Courtois pens extension first

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has revealed he will sign a new deal at the club once team-mate Thibaut Courtois extends his current contract.

The Belgium internationals are both expected to pen fresh terms at Stamford Bridge this month as the Blues look to tie down the pair to new long-term deals following doubts over their continued futures in west London.

And Hazard, whose current contract runs until 2020, has revealed he is willing to extend his stay in Antonio Conte's side, provided Courtois pens a new deal first.

“Yes,” Hazard told Mirror Football when asked if he would sign a new Chelsea contract. “I think Thibaut [Courtois] first. Then I will sign.”

Courtois, whose deal expires in 2019, added: “Do Eden and I encourage each other to sign? Yes. He will say ‘if you sign, I will sign’ and I say the same to him."
