Royal Eagles coach Kosta Papic will attack from the word go against Mthatha Bucks

Royal Eagles head coach Kosta Papic says he plans to continue playing what he terms risky football, when his charges visit Mthatha Bucks at Mthatha Stadium tomorrow.

Despite going down 4-3 to Mbombela United last weekend, Papic will persist with his attacking style of play which leaves them vulnerable at the back.

Eagles, who have been dying to win promotion to the top flight, are currently 14th in the National First Division on 15 points. They can forget about winning promotion and focus on avoiding relegation.

“We are going to try our best to get the three points,” Papic tells KickOff.com.

“We must run away from the situation that is with the club. We will do our best. We are going to play some risky football to get the three points, an all out attack. That's how we are going to maintain ourselves in the future. It's important for us to succeed."

Papic, who returned to Eagles this season after leaving last term, says it’s different for him this time round because he did not start the campaign with the club.

“It's not the same. Last season I began the season with the team, now I came in halfway in the season.

“We will see how we are going to cope in the next two, three matches. We already play football the way it's supposed to be played, but in our last match we were unfortunate. We will see tomorrow [against Bucks], but things are coming back on the right track so we need to work harder.

At this moment we are not going to talk about a position we will finish in. The most important thing for me is to find a solution to run away from the danger zone and prepare ourselves for the next season.

It's not over yet but to be realistic it is more important now to take it match by match and after that we will see where it takes us.”

Papic says the team is looking to make two signings in this transfer window period.

"Yes in this window period we are looking for two players in two positions. We are still waiting for them to come, to finalise the issue with them. But so far I cannot give you the names."
