Orlando Pirates issue injury update on Lorch, Morrison, Nyauza

Posted: 8 January 2018 Time: 10:51

Orlando Pirates have provided an injury update ahead of this weekend's Absa Premiership showdown with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Following the return of Thabo Qalinge, who was on the bench as Pirates registered an inspired 3-1 victory over Baroka on Saturday evening, the club have also confirmed the recovery of Thembinkosi Lorch.

Lorch has been absent for the last six weeks after suffering a hamstring strain in November last year, and has now begun rehabilitation as he looks to get back to full fitness.

"Thembinkosi Lorch is nearing full fitness after being released from physiotherapy. He is now undergoing rehabilitation to fast track his return to full fitness," read a club statement on Monday.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Bernard Morrison and defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza are undergoing treatment and are unavailable for this weekend's tie at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
