Bucs too strong for Baroka

Orlando Pirates' first game of the year got off in fine style as they cruised to a 3-1 win over Baroka FC on Saturday.
They applied the early pressure with the backing of the home support, and went in front through the head of Musa Nyatama from a free-kick after six minutes.
They were presented with an opportunity to grab a second, and Justin Shonga forced Virgil Vries to acrobatically tip his attempt for a corner kick after 13 minutes.
From the resultant set-play, Innocent Maela was denied by the post after he raced into box to head freely with the Baroka FC defence all at sea.
They finally grabbed their second after 19 minutes when Shonga evaded a foray of defenders to set-up Luvuyo Memela for an easy tap-in.
The Ghosts looked menacing every time they broke free, with Memela and Shonga the main destroyers on all fronts with their trickery movements on and off the ball.
They were showing no mercy to the struggling Bakgaga, when Memela got his brace with a top-corner finish following a loose ball inside the box.
The visitors were handed a lifeline a minute later after Thando Ndzandzeka awarded a penalty which Mduduzi Mdantsane stepped up to send Jackson Mabokgwane the wrong way.
The score-line forced them into an early change and Kgoloko Thobejane brought on Talent Chawapihwa for their goal-scorer Mdantsane.
Mpho Kgaswane forced Mabokgwane to palm his free-kick into touch as the Limpopo side looked to head into the break with a second goal to the good.
In the second half, the Buccaneers were looking to continue from where they left off in the first period when Thabiso Kutumela blasted over the bar from inside the box.
Nyatama was looking for his brace and nearly found it with yet another header from a set-play, but Vries was alert to the danger and dealt with it comfortably.
Baroka took control of the game and asked a few questions of Bucs defence, however they were undone by poor finishing inside the box.
In the end, the Buccaneers took home all the three points for their fifth win of the season after 16 league matches played.
