Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has hit out at Bidvest Wits and Chippa United for being unprofessional in the way they have approached strikers Edward Manqele and Mohammed Anas.
Eymael claims Chippa has contacted Manqele while Wits contacted Anas. The Belgian says the clubs did not show any professionalism.
Manqele signed a two-year contract with Stars at the start of the current season.
"Manqele has been contacted by Chippa United and Mohammed Anas was contacted by Wits. That's what it is," Eymael said.
"But both players are contracted to Free State Stars. The clubs or the agents contacted the players and not Free State Stars. We are aware of that and I think normally the ethics is to contact the club when you want the player who is still contracted."
The Belgian coach added that both players are still part of his plans.
"I would love to have Manqele and I asked him if it's true that the they contacted him and he said yes. If they come with an offer we will sit down and discuss, and it's the same thing with Anas.
"Jose Ferreira [Wits CEO] called Rantsi Mokoena [Free State Stars General Manager] and said it's not true, but the player [Anas] said it's true he has been contacted by I don't know who.
"I don't call a player who is contracted somewhere."
Stars moved into second place on the Absa Premiership standings when they beat Wits 1-0 in Milpark on Friday night, thanks to a goal from defender Thamsanqa Teyise.
