Mesut Ozil has hinted he wants to continue his career with Arsenal after admitting the club have made him a “bigger” player.

The Germany international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Gunners, with Manchester United and Barcelona said to be considering January bids for the playmaker.

Ozil is currently in the final six months of his deal, meaning he is eligible to discuss terms with other clubs, but the 29-year-old may yet stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond the current campaign.

Speaking at a mock Sky Sports press conference setup for the Young Gunners fan club, Ozil was asked why he decided to join Arsenal, and he replied: "Because of the history and the amazing players. I'm here to learn, to grow up and to show my talent for this club.

"This club has made me bigger. I'm so proud to play for a big club like Arsenal."
