Cape Town City sign Surprise Ralani

Posted: 3 January 2018 Time: 08:11

Cape Town City have bolstered their squad with the announcement that Surprise Ralani has joined the club from Swedish outfit Helsingborg IF.

Ralani becomes The Citizens' third signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Kwanda Mngonyama and Masoud Juma.

The 30-year-old midfielder is seemingly the replacement for Aubrey Ngoma, who has joined Mamelodi Sundowns, and will compete with Ayanda Patosi and Lyle Lakay for game-time.

Ralani, who spent the last nine years in Sweden and Denmark, will for the first time be plying his trade back home in the Premier Soccer League, after leaving the Stars of Africa Academy in 2009.

The Kimberley-born attacker managed six goals and four assists in 27 appearances in the Swedish topflight last season.
