Baroka coach Kgoloko Thobejane says the club wants to loan Siphelele Ntshangase to Kaizer Chiefs rather than sell the midfielder to Amakhosi.
Bakgaga CEO Morgan Mammila recently confirmed that the two sides are currently locked in negotiations over the South Africa international.
"They are busy with him. It can be a loan move sometimes," Thobejane tells KickOff.com.
"It seems they [Baroka] want to loan him out instead of them [Chiefs] buying him out. I think the negotiations are about that. Chiefs don't have a problem about that, it seems the problem lies with the agent or something, according to the rumours.
"His agent wants Chiefs to have him outright, not on loan. He wants Chiefs to buy him, but the club Baroka are not willing to give him to Chiefs outright. As for terms I didn't ask how long are they willing to loan him for. The agent wants the player to go to Chiefs but not on loan."
Baroka only recruited Ntshangase in the off-season from National First Division outfit Black Leopards. Thobejane says sometimes as a coach you have very little say when it comes to such matters.
"Sometimes as coaches we are not supposed to look at who we have lost, but work with the ones you have. Sometimes when a player comes you will never know the management is signing him on which intentions. It might happen that they are signing him with an intention to sell him in future."
Asked about any plans to strengthen his squad in the current window period, Thobejane says at this stage no player has caught his eye.
"Haaa eish, we will see. Up to so far I haven't seen a player that I can say I can buy."
