KickOff.com can confirm that Bidvest Wits have handed a trial to Cameroonian striker Christian Ntouba.

Ntouba, who has been linked with PSL clubs in the past, started training with Wits on Tuesday after arriving in the country from Zimbabwe at the weekend.

He is currently on the books of Harare-based topflight side Dynamos.

"Ntouba is on trial with Wits," says Ntouba's agent Mike Ngobeni.

"At the moment it is still early to say if he would sign or not. He is a quality striker. Let's just give the player a chance to train and prove his worth at Wits before we can talk about signing or not."

The Students recently signed fellow forward Lehlohonolo Majoro from Cape Town City.

Gavin Hunt's side have also captured former Orlando Pirates utility man Edwin Gyimah and recalled winger Sifiso Myeni from a loan spell at SuperSport United, while they have secured the services of Cape Town City captain Robyn Johannes, Maritzburg United skipper Denis Weidlich and Polokwane City striker Thobani Mncwango for next season.
