Manchester City are expected to be without Gabriel Jesus for up to two months after the forward suffered a medial collateral ligament injury against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Brazil international lasted just 23 minutes of this past weekend’s goalless draw at Selhurst Park before needing to be substituted after picking up the knee injury.
"Manchester City can confirm Gabriel Jesus suffered a medial collateral ligament injury during the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday,” the club said in a statement.
"He will undergo further examinations in the coming days to establish the extent of his lay-off.
"We wish Gabriel a speedy recovery and we will keep you updated on his progress via the club's official channels."
