Mochudi Centre Chiefs eye out Masibusane Zongo

Posted: 2 January 2018 Time: 11:40

Former Chippa United midfielder Masibusane Zongo could find a new home with Botswana Premier League side Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

Chiefs PRO Clifford Mogomotsi confirmed the ex-SuperSport United and Platinum Stars man is in their sights.

"We have a couple of players we are looking to sign. Zongo might be one of them," Mogomotsi tells KickOff.com.

"I will only be in a good position to talk about players we are signing after a board meeting this week."

Zongo was released from police custody in the Western Cape late last year after being arrested in connection with a rape case. It is understood the allegations date back to February 2013 when the 27-year-old was on the books of Chippa.

Zongo, whose career has been dogged by off-field issues, last featured for Royal Eagles in the National First Division in 2016.
