Chelsea boss Antonio Conte talks up Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admits he would jump at the chance to sign Arturo Vidal ahead of the January transfer window.

The pair previously worked together at Juventus where Vidal helped lead Conte’s side to three successive Serie A titles between 2011 and 2014.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Chilean forward and when pressed on the matter, Conte said: “I must be honest, it’s not right to talk about a player of another team. Especially if you try to link this player with us.

“Arturo is a fantastic player…I have a great respect for Arturo, and we spent many years in Juventus together. I’d always want him with me.”
