Black Leopards shake up technical team

Posted: 28 December 2017 Time: 09:00

Black Leopards have brought back Joel Masutha to serve as an interim coach.

Masutha, who was sacked by the NFD side in May 2016, returns to Leopards after resigning as general manager of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC.

He replaces Belgian Ivan Minnaert, whose brief tenure with the side ended on an ugly note.

According to a source close to Lidoda Duvha, the club have also appointed ex-Moroka Swallows midfielder Morgan Shivambu as assistant coach.

“Joel is the new coach for Black Leopards,” says the source.

“He will be assisted by Morgan Shivambu. Depending on the team performance they might continue to carry their duties in the technical team until the end of the season.”

The second-tier outfit have also parted ways with goalkeeper coach Aubrey Mathibe.
