Ajax Cape Town part ways with assistant coach Boebie Solomons

Ajax Cape Town have announced they have parted ways with assistant coach Boebie Solomons.

“Boebie Solomons and Ajax Cape Town have mutually agreed to part company with immediate effect,” read a statement released by the club. “We would like to thank coach Boebie for his service to the club over the past six months, and wish him good luck on his future endeavours.”

Solomons only joined the Urban Warriors at the start of the season, serving as second in command to Stanley Menzo, who has also departed the Mother City, with Muhsin Ertugal brought back for a fourth stint in charge.

The Turk will thus have a new assistant coach, which is yet to be announced by the club.

Ajax sit 15th in the Absa Premiership standings with just 13 points from their opening 14 matches, and face off against Maritzburg United in their first game of 2018 on Friday, 5 January.
