Germany remain top, Brazil second in December 21 release of FIFA World Rankings

Posted: 21 December 2017 Time: 11:28

The latest round of FIFA World Rankings sees very little change in the standings as the top 35 remain unmoved heading into 2018.

That means Germany remain top of the pile for the year, coming in ahead of Brazil and Portugal in the top three respectively, while Argentina, Belgium and Spain round off the top six.

In fact, only five changes in position have taken place in the world’s Top 50, with Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Australia climbing to 36th, 37th and 38th respectively, at the expense of DR Congo, who drop to 39th.

Ghana, meanwhile, break into the top 50, which equates to an eight-placed standing in the African rankings, where South Africa find themselves unmoved.
