Chelsea boss Antonio Conte unaware of claims David Luiz wants out of Stamford Bridge

Posted: 20 December 2017 Time: 09:10

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has shot down claims of David Luiz leaving in January, stating he has no knowledge of such talk.

The pair suffered a falling out in October following the Blues’ 3-0 Champions League loss to Roma and the Brazil international has not featured in the Premier League since.

That, though, is also owed to the fact the defender is struggling with a knee injury, although Denmark international Andreas Christensen has since cemented his place as the first-choice centre-back in Luiz’s absence.

As such, talk has been rife that Luiz will look to force a move away in January, although Conte has poured cold water on those claims.

"I don't read [the speculation] and I [therefore] solve the problem. I don't read so I don't have information about this topic," said Conte.
"As a person I am very realistic, I like to tell the truth."
