Liverpool can’t guarantee Coutinho stay

Liverpool CEO Peter Moore has admitted the club cannot guarantee their fans that Philippe Coutinho will still be at Anfield in January.
The Brazil international is strongly tipped to complete a proposed move to Barcelona, who saw multiple bids for the forward previously rejected by the Reds.
However, with the Catalan giants expected to once again return with an offer, coupled with Coutinho’s suspected desire to move to the Nou Camp, the Merseysiders face a tough time in keeping hold of the striker.
"We made one statement last year and the player is not for sale and that is the statement the ownership made," Moore told Sky Sports News.
"Me adding to that, every day you see stories emanating from Spain that Barcelona, or whomever, are coming back for Philippe Coutinho."
He added: "As far as I am concerned, the squad we have right now is the squad we are going to go into January with. And I do not have a crystal ball, so I do not know what is going to happen.
"But Philippe Coutinho is a dedicated, intense Liverpool player right now that is delivering."
The 25-year-old was on target and provided an assist in the Merseysiders' 4-0 romp at Bournemouth on the weekend.
