Baroka FC ended their seven-game winless run in the Absa Premiership with a 3-1 win over SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
SuperSport got an opportunity from a free kick in the first minute but the effort from Bradley Grobler went just wide of the upright.
Baroka settled late into the game and after some good interplay, they managed to get a shot away from a distance but the effort was wide with 17 minutes gone in the game.
The hosts finally broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through a Lucky Nguzana strike as United were forced to chase the game from this point on.
Baroka took their narrow 1-0 lead into the halftime break with the game poised for an entertaining second half.
Kgoloko Thobejani's men quickly turned defence into attack and should have doubled their lead in the 48th minute but Nguzana's effort failed to hit the target.
They would later go on to rue that missed opportunity as United level matters through Azibuike Egwuekwe's header from a well-taken corner by Thuso Phala.
Reyaad Pieterse was forced into a great save by a Baroka effort in the 68th minute as the hosts looked to regain their lead.
Pieterse couldn't stop Letladi Madubanya's strike as the midfielder put his team in front for the second time in the game with 17 minutes remaining on the clock.
With SuperSport throwing numbers forward, Baroka managed to snatch a third goal on the counter as some great work by Talent Chawapiwa set up Mduduzi Mdatsane, who side-footed home from 12-yards to seal a 3-1 win for the hosts.
