Ajax Cape Town coach Stanley Menzo feels his charges didn't do enough hurt Kaizer Chiefs during their 1-0 loss on Saturday evening.
The Urban Warriors dropped to 15th in the Absa Premiership after their loss to AmaKhosi at the FNB Stadium.
The Dutch tactician insisted that they did not play a defensive game despite Amakhosi dominating possession.
"We were defensive maybe in the second half but in the first half not. We were calm. We were okay, we were tight. When we were won the ball there was a lot of space, I thought there were moments where we did well especially in the first half. I thought the first half was 60/40 or 50/50," Menzo said to SuperSport TV.
"But not a lot to hurt them because there was a lot of space in behind. We had a few of moments of that - winning the ball in midfield and then hitting from behind but it was not enough. In the second half we didn't play."
Menzo was asked whether the club will bring reinforcements in the January transfer window and he said that won't be the case.
"No, there's enough quality, we need players who can help with keeping the ball more in the team. Keep the organisation. I don't think they [Chiefs] played. They didn't have big chances," he added.
"They had one or two. You have to keep your organisation. Keep the discipline and keep defending on the ball, you have to relax and wait for your moment."
