Mohammed Anas feels the PSL title race is wide open this season and has faith Free State Stars can bounce back tonight from their demoralising derby loss to Bloemfontein Celtic.
The striker admits his team's mood was sombre after the 3-0 defeat to Phunya Sele Sele at Dr Molemela Stadium on Sunday, with the result prompting an apology from club coach Luc Eymael.
Anas tells KickOff.com: "Ja, you know all of us we were sad on Sunday but what can we do? Everyone sat in the dressing room after the game asking questions about ourselves.
"So we left everything back there in Bloem. It's football, we understand it's about a loss, a win and a draw. We lost to the other team so we respect that and we will go to the drawing board."
However, the Ghanaian believes 10th-placed Ea Lla Koto can respond against SuperSport United when they meet at 19h30 at Goble Park.
"For us it's not tough because we play at home. Everything is possible in this PSL. You can see in the league any team can beat anyone. So it doesn't matter whether you are a big team or small team or what-what. At the end of the 90 or 95 minutes we'll see what happens.
"We can even be number one, everything is possible. By the end of the season we can even be on top. We play at home, so to get the three points is possible as we need them. That is the only thing we want now."
He adds: "With us coming back here in Bethlehem means what happened on Sunday is done and gone. So we need to focus on what is in front of us. That's what we told ourselves after Sunday's game, we must focus on Wednesday's game."
