Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City’s CAF opponents revealed

The draw for next year’s CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup has been finalised, with South Africa’s four representatives learning their opponents.
The draw for the preliminary rounds of both competitions was conducted during a meeting of the CAF Interclubs Committee in Cairo, Egypt.
2016 Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns, who were knocked out in the quarter-finals of this year’s event, will face either LLB Académic FC from Burundi or Rayon Sport of Rwanda in their group stage qualifier.
Last season’s Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits will face Mauritian outfit Pamplemousses in the preliminary round for a spot in the CAF Champions League group stage qualifers.
In the Confederation Cup, SuperSport United, who narrowly lost this year’s final to TP Mazembe, will face the winner of the preliminary round clash between Angola’s Atletico Petroleos and Malawi’s Master Security.
Last year’s third-placed Absa Premiership side Cape Town City will make their CAF bow against Swazi outfit Young Buffaloes in their first-round qualifier.
Dates, venues and kick-off times are yet to be confirmed.
