Cristiano Ronaldo eager to renew Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema partnership at Real Madrid

Posted: 13 December 2017 Time: 11:24

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo admits he is looking forward to renewing his partnership with Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The trio formed a formidable attack last season as the Galacticos clinched the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles, but a series of injuries - most notably for Bale - have prevented them from playing together much this term.

However, with Benzema and Bale both back to full fitness - along with the majority of the Madrid squad - Ronaldo is eager to get their striking partnership back on track, starting in this evening’s Club World Cup semi-final against Al Jazira.

“I like that the squad is complete, not only with Karim [Benzema] and Gaz [Bale],” the recently-crowned 2017 Ballon d’Or star told beIN Sports.

“I like that there are no injuries, it is a good sign, a sign that we are all together and that the squad is very good. It would be great if BBC played together again.”
