Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists his side do not fear the threat posed by Barcelona following this week’s draw for the UEFA Champions League last 16.
The Blues will host the five-time European champions at Stamford Bridge in the first-leg on February 20 before making the reverse trip to the Nou Camp on March 14.
Chelsea were able to see off Barca the last time the teams met, winning 3-2 on aggregate in the 2011/12 Champions League semi-final and Conte insists his team are again ready for any challenge.
“As we know very well, when you are in this stage you must be ready to face every team. In this case, we must be ready to face Barcelona,” said Conte.
“When you play Barcelona, you must put in 120 percent at home and away if you want to hope to go to the next round. “The past is the past. Now it’s the present, another story. It’s totally different.
“I think this type of game is a good chance for every player to show the right value. Every player has to play in the right way.
“I think our priority must be the league, must be to try to stay up and try to fight for a Champions League place. That must be our priority in this moment.
“Then when it will be the moment to play against Barcelona we will start to think of the game against Barcelona.”
