Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed that goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene has signed a new contract with the club.

'Jingles', however, would not reveal the length of the deal.

“Kennedy has signed,” said Mosimane after the log leaders' 1-0 win over Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu on Sunday.

The 33-year-old keeper is yet to play this season as he continues to provide cover to Ugandan star Denis Onyango at Chloorkop.

Mweene, a 2012 AFCON winner with Zambia, has claimed two league titles, the Telkom Knockout, the Nedbank Cup, the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup since joining the Brazilians from Free State Stars in July 2013.
