Thabo Senong: Amajita will play to strengths against Egypt at COSAFA U-20 Youth Championships

Amajita coach Thabo Senong says the team will play to their strengths in today's COSAFA U-20 Youth Championships clash with Egypt at Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe, Zambia.

The nations are battling for Group B honours as both have six points and are level on goal difference heading into this final pool match.

Both sides beat Mauritius 2-0 and Mozambique 1-0.

The country that loses this afternoon's contest could still advance to the semi-finals of the tournament as the best third-placed team.

“We will play to our strengths against Egypt and I believe development of the players is the bigger objective," said Senong ahead of the 15h00 kick-off.

“We are in this tournament to build the next generation of the South African U-20 national team as we have AFCON qualifiers from next year.

“We want a win and we will do our best to win the match, while ensuring that the players enjoy themselves.”

Amajita XI: Kubheka, Mabiliso, Sambo, Mukumela (c), Cupido, Zuke, Matlou, Ngcobo, Mashiane, Mkatshana, Foster.

Subs: Tshabalala, Leaner, Bull, Cross, Modise, Sibiya, Maswanganyi, Ntsabaleng, Mbulu.
